The latest software update for select Amazfit smartwatches brings new training and usability improvements across swimming, workout control, navigation, and indoor training.
Depending on your device, this release adds Manual Rest for more structured Pool Swimming records, an Always Locked touchscreen mode to help prevent accidental input, FTMS rowing machine connectivity for richer indoor training data, and Athlete Defaults for faster workout setup. Route Preview, map zooming, and alarm setup have also been refined for a smoother overall experience.
Compatible Devices
This software update is rolling out to the following Amazfit smartwatches:
Feature availability varies by device.
Structure Pool Swimming Workouts with Manual Rest
The upgraded Pool Swimming algorithm now supports Manual Rest, allowing you to manually mark rest periods during a workout.
Swimming and rest periods are recorded as separate segments, while swimming segments are further organized by stroke. This makes it easier to understand the structure of your session and review how your time was divided between active swimming and recovery.
Find it under: Pool Swimming >Settings > Workout Settings > Back button settings > Manual Rest

Keep the Touchscreen Locked During Workouts
The new Always Locked mode keeps the touchscreen locked throughout an entire workout.
This helps prevent accidental touches caused by rain, sweat, gloves, sleeves, or unexpected contact. While the mode is enabled, workout controls remain available through the watch buttons.
Find it under: From any workout mode, go to Settings > Workout Settings > Touch Lock > Always Lock
Note: This feature is not available on Amazfit T-Rex 3. Amazfit Balance Ultra interaction differences are not involved.

Connect to Compatible Rowing Machines
The Rowing Machine workout can now connect to FTMS-compatible third-party rowing machines, including the Concept2 RowErg.
Once connected, workout metrics such as power and distance can be displayed directly on the watch, giving you a more complete view of your indoor rowing session.
The distance calibration page now supports both metric and imperial units, making calibration more convenient for users in different regions.
Note: Compatibility may vary by rowing machine model and firmware.

Get Ready to Train with Athlete Defaults
Athlete Defaults lets you apply a group of recommended workout settings automatically instead of configuring them before every session.
Once enabled, it turns on Workout Do Not Disturb, disables workout alerts, and sets GPS to maximum precision. This helps reduce distractions and ensures that your watch is ready to capture detailed workout data whenever training begins.
Find it under: Zepp App > Device Page > Device Settings > Workout Settings > Default Athlete Mode
Note: This feature is available only on Amazfit Cheetah 2 Ultra, Amazfit Balance Ultra and Amazfit Balance 3, Amazfit Cheetah 2 Pro. It is not supported on other devices.
